I made the fatal error of allowing the alienguise theme to be applied to my new r3.

Now I find out that it's not compatible with windows 7 (glitches out on transparencies). I would like to remove it but I can't seem to find anyway of removing it. I wish i had made my alien respawn before I said okay to the theme--will i basically have to reinstall windows to fix this problem?

    Start Menu
    All Programs
    Stardock MyColors
    Restore Windows Default Theme

I installed it to mine, and just removed it. It's too buggy, and causes too many compatiblity issues.

For those willing to still use it i believe the problem and glitches can be fixed by excluding the theme to be applyied to explorer.exe (on the exclusion option of Stardock MyColor)

DO NOT do that!!!!!! i posted a few weeks ago on excluding explorer.exe. IF you do this you will try to open my computer or any other window and it will not open randomly. the explorer.exe.process will be hung in task manager.

i did this on my alienware and had the explorer hung and i couldnt figure out why. i then put alienguis on my netbook (netbook comes with windows 7 starter, therefore you cant change the backgroud wallpaper etc). As soon as i excluded explorer.exe on the netbook, i started getting the hung process. i removed both exceptions and poof, no more hangs. i am 100% sure this fixed the issue on my 2 systems. you can try it if you like, but if you cant open up folders, look to this as the reason. it didnt cause long term harm, so you can try it if you like.

BTW, after all of this i ended up disabling it on my R3, in the end, its jsut too buggy. my favorite is if you have alienguis set the walpaper and you move windows around on the screen, you can see the default windows wallpaper "behind' it until it repaints....its a hack.
