    is there a good cheap after market replacement for the CA30N drive?
    I don't even need it to be bluray-

    dvd + dvd burn should be acceptable.

    I am not quite sure of the form factor or if it would work- obviously it would need to be slot loaded too to appear seemless......
    CA30Ns are going for about $60 on ebay and mostly are imports from china X_X

    For blu ray you can use the UJ-235 or UJ-265 or CA21N
    For dvd theres the AD-7800 or AD-7640 or GA31N or TS-T632

    That one seems good haha. If you don't use BluRay then it makes sense to get that one instead.
