people, I got two freezes in < 48 hours, got worried, ran the SSD health app
SSD life - tool for solid state drives health and endurance monitoring
(it has free trial)
and got 77%what should I do, looking to other SSD's out there, this is real low (especially for samsung), can anyone run this thing (users of pm810) and share their results

I wouldn't worry too much, they are just estimating health based on common factors. The PM810/830 drives are rated at absolutely insane use lengths. I don't have the specific numbers anymore, but it is many years, like 8+ years if you average writing 40 gigs a day or something like that. The drive should out last your computer.

that's weird. Both your drives are showing too much wear for such new SSD's.
The health goes down as your wear increases. 1 health percent down for every 30 wear levelling
I'll run a ssdlife on my M4 later today just for something to compare to -

if not SSD (I hope it is not cpu bound as the freezes occured during matlab sessions), then any 7970m owners get freezes?
(Thanks Slick for your time, I will be waiting your message) Also thanks all for their input! -

and this is weird. Why is it that it doesn't say what the expected life is on those 2 Samsung SSD runs? It just says calculating? This perhaps could be an bug with SSD life and these drives -
specifically: 2. The estimated lifetime is calculated depending on the amount of data written to the drive. If it is not calculated yet, it means that little data has been written to it. Simply wait a bit, it does not usually take more than a week (or two) after the first launch of the program.
samsung pm810 owners of M17x R3 users / SSD health
