    My m17r3 is about a month old. I have radeon 6990. Recently installed the 11.9 update from and. I seem to have noticeable difference in screen brightness. When I use the inter graphics card, my screen is quite bright. It lowers considerably when I switch to the m6990 graphics card. Is this a common issue and what can I try to resolve it.

    There is not much difference in screen brightness between the 6990M and the Intel IGP on my R3, but remember that brightness and contrast are separately adjustable for each card, so try adjusting the 6990M's CCC settings (mostly contrast) to taste.
