    I am considering selling my m17x r2!
After building it all up I found myself actually using more m15x more because the larger screen and how I sit at my desk was really straining my eyes (the 17).
I cannot PC it or sell it here because I do not have the required 100 posts so I will probably do ebay but I am not sure if it would be better to part out or sell as a whole.

    It now has:
    1. crossfired ati 5870s
    2. the RGB screen (though there is a small area where it has a bit of a prism effect behind the glass. Cant really see it when you are playing a game but it annoys me. I was going to just swap screens again being a perfectionist)
    3. 920xm processor
    4. the case has been switched to a red top and bottom
    5. the adapter and bracket are there for a second hard drive
    6. everything works but the battery. I never did try buying a new battery to see if the permanent battery failure message on bootup was due to the battery or the motherboard

    Opinions? Thanks! Nate

crap! I forgot, the cdrom I pulled out and put into my m15x when that one failed.
I guess that is a big deciding factor too.

It'll be easier and quicker to sell as a full machine but you will probably get more selling the parts provided the motherboard is functioning properly with regards to the battery connection.

I believe the same. It depends on how much you need the $$$. If you don't need it right away you could try selling the parts, but if you require it sell the full machine.

I personally feel that selling the whole machine is a better option as parting it out really isnt fun. You could be waiting for months to get your parts off the shelf and by then they'd have depreciated so far that it's not worth it anymore
