    Hi guys.

planning to upgrade my 2nd harddisk.
    issue is...

"*750 GB and 1 TB models are 12.5 mm high and may not be compatible with all notebook systems. Consult system specifications for maximum allowable drive height before attempting to install. "

so i am not sure if this will fit... anybody knows?

1TB will fit, but you would have to break the little plastic tab, and screwing the bracket in will bend the pieces on the bracket, but the 12.5mm 1TB drive will fit. I'll see if I can find the link to where somone did it.

EDIT: Found it, Re: 12mm thickness HDD in M17x?

Here is a standard height (9.5mm) 750GB Western Digital 5400RPM drive. This would work with no modifications.

does seem to be a bit of a 'warranty-voiding-action' :)
