    ^Ditto to that^

One brand to consider is Kingston. I have the Kingston Hyper X. Another to consider is the Intel brand. I don't have one, and have not ever encountered one. But I know there are many users here in the forums that'll swear by Intel's SSDs.

We don't even know this guy's budget and how many he plans to install...

I recommend you a 480Gb Intel 520 for $480. Or 2 x 240Gb Intel 520 for $244 each. You may think it's overprice but you get what you paid :D.

I'd go for the Samsung 830 or Intel 520, plus on black friday you may be able to get some bucks of the price

And they're expensive as hell for unnoticeable differences, besides during video editing, and maybe a few extra minutes in battery life... not worth another $80 - $120 (depending on sales of the 830) in my opinion.

Get the Samsung 830's when Black Friday hits. I just bought two of them for $159.99, maybe 1 month ago now. They sold out immediately - every time I refreshed the Amazon page, there was at least one less than the second before.

I found a 830 265Gb brand new for $120 in my local craiglist. Too bad I already at my maximum budget :(. Budget wise, 830 is the best option. Otherwise, not so much.
