I just installed the latest Windows 7 update and all HD operation slowed a lot. It takes about 10 minutes to open Control Panel, etc. Any ideas?

Unfortunately I didn't check. It was automatic ON and when I shut my computer off, it installed whatever the latest was.

Even after I log in with face recognition it takes almost a minute to get to the desktop. I can see the mouse pointer and a black screen...
