    Hi, I have a M17x-r2 and im trying to switch discret graphic to onbard graphic. I tried to go to BIOS and set the hybrid graphic option but it is not there. i also tried to hit FN+F7 but it doesnt do anything.

    how can i get the FN+F7 button works ?

    I don't think the m17x r2 has integrated graphics. :( I think you have an m17x r1 or maybe an r3. :(

    The M17x R2 does not have an onboard GPU.
    It uses Stealth Mode to save battery life.

    ok if it doesnt have on bard gpu then why i have the GFX (F7) button on my keyboard ?

    if you have a dual GPU system I bet you have an m17x r1(not sure how that hybrid switching works). The m17x r3 is a single card system and function (F7) turns on and off the integrated graphics for AMD cards. My one question is what GPU/GPU's do you have? This answer should help determine your system. :)

    The FN F7 thing is there because dell did not re design the keyboard when it went from R1 to R2. They use the same keyboard. The R2 does not have on board/integrated graphics, and that button is useless. Since the systems are very similiar, it made better sense for Dell to use the same keyboard, rather then contract to have the same keyboard made, without the FN F7 markings. It was more a business/cost saving decision than anything else.
