hi all i had a cple of dead pixels in the m17x-r2 and a key missing in the keyboard, i was informed that the keyboard and monitor would have to be changed, the man came and did this but then the laptop would not boot up he was telling me over the phone, i told him to do system restore and this got the laptop working again.....

but ive just updated bfbc2 and tried to play battlefeild 2 and im getting picture flicking like the old telly when the picture drops down but re apear from the top like when a telly was out of tune.

and then it crashed, seems ok on internet and notice slight flicker when windows boots. but playing games naks it

any ideas :( thanks for any help....

The CF cable is right underneath the keyboard. You could have damaged the cable. CF cable is blue btw and run from one side of the keyboard to the other.

You could *try* to inspect it yourself but I think it's best you call the tech out again.

hi bud wel ive had both cards out the keyboard checked monitor cables put back together. but everytime now i try to apply xfire the laptop freezes it works with one card but every time i try to connect them it faults, i did notice kink in the blue xfire cable christ knows hows hes managed to do this. so i think its the card with the cable attached that you cannot take off without the heatsink or the cable itself.

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the title. Reminded me of "It Came from the Desert." :) Some classic movies/video games with funny titles.
