hi im thinking about buying a alienware laptop of this guy tommorow he said its a Alienware M17X R2.

however i see the m17 also looks like the m15x.

just wanted to know if these specs sound like a m17x r2.

4GB, Intel i7-720QM Quad Core Processor, Dual 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphic.

on one of the pics he sent me showing laptops system info it says the ghz is 1.60ghz.

anyone please help. as guy said its a m17 however i think it might be am15 just wanted some advice.

    thanks

Pretty sure it's the m17x r2, since the m15x only has a single graphics card, and it never supported the 4870. The 720qm is rated at 1.66Ghz i think, so the 1.6ghz thing is close.

4gb of ram-who knows, could be any current system

720qm- I think only the m17x r2 had this. The x20qm series got phased out pretty quickly (with the exception of 920xm), and I don't even think the m15x got anything that wasn't x40qm/xm.

It is a R2, the M15 does not support Dual ATI cards.
