Might need to get it replaced but you can try a power drain to see if that helps. Last option would be to reseat the ribbon cable underneath.

I also found my touch controls fairly unresposive - especially the volume up and down "buttons" (if your don't respond at all, you probably have a different problem).

I found that I increase my success rate by making sure my finger tip covers the entire height of the "button", i.e. so that I can feel both the top and bottom edges of the touch strip.

My volume up and down works less than perfect. All other keys work perfectly which leads me to believe it is a driver issue on my system. I find it easier to set volume if an application is playing as opposed to setting a new volume level before application starts. Most of the posts I have read about the touch panel complain about volume which leads me to believe that the issue is software as opposed to the board being misaligned. If it were a misalignment issue I would think other keys would be affected some times. I have put it down to just being a buggy issue for the R2. Have heard some people have had panels replaced which would seem to imply a manufacturers defect is a possibility. Not sure if those people who had the panel replaced had the problem solved as those posts were a while back. If your problem is volume than I think your problem is normal but if it is all keys than obviously it is a more serious issue.

Is there a way to set up the touch controls to work with iTunes or do I have to rework my whole audio library to work with Windows Media Player? I'm used to iTunes and could easily switch to Winamp, but really don't like WMP.

I assume they just don't work with iTunes. They control windows media player just fine. I have the same problem at work with the media controls on my Dell keyboard.
