has this happened to anyone else? sometimes when my laptop boots the touchcontrols on the top right corner or my keyboard does not work.. anyone has any experience/ solution about this?

Might need to get it replaced but you can try a power drain to see if that helps. Last option would be to reseat the ribbon cable underneath.
-
is there a driver or smth like that? cause my eject button still works. only the others dont.
-
also, when it works theres 3 alien heads on my tool bar but when it doesnttheres only two aliensense and alienfx
-
I also found my touch controls fairly unresposive - especially the volume up and down "buttons" (if your don't respond at all, you probably have a different problem).
I found that I increase my success rate by making sure my finger tip covers the entire height of the "button", i.e. so that I can feel both the top and bottom edges of the touch strip. -
this thing.. osd_v when its on my touch controls work when its not it does.. sometimes its on when i start up my laptop soemtimes its not on @_@!!

My volume up and down works less than perfect. All other keys work perfectly which leads me to believe it is a driver issue on my system. I find it easier to set volume if an application is playing as opposed to setting a new volume level before application starts. Most of the posts I have read about the touch panel complain about volume which leads me to believe that the issue is software as opposed to the board being misaligned. If it were a misalignment issue I would think other keys would be affected some times. I have put it down to just being a buggy issue for the R2. Have heard some people have had panels replaced which would seem to imply a manufacturers defect is a possibility. Not sure if those people who had the panel replaced had the problem solved as those posts were a while back. If your problem is volume than I think your problem is normal but if it is all keys than obviously it is a more serious issue.

Is there a way to set up the touch controls to work with iTunes or do I have to rework my whole audio library to work with Windows Media Player? I'm used to iTunes and could easily switch to Winamp, but really don't like WMP.
-
the touch control works with every software that is writen the right way winamp should work unless they don't work at all
-
I assume they just don't work with iTunes. They control windows media player just fine. I have the same problem at work with the media controls on my Dell keyboard.
