Transformers Fall of Cybertron not working properly pc - YouTube
anybody know what the heck is wrong and how to fix it cause i'm apparently the only one with this problem and i want to fix it so badly.
does anybody know how to reinstall a game on steam like its the first time? just deleting the cache data and re downloading doesn't run all the other stuff associated with a first time install.

that looks like driver issues..
but with the steam, you can right click the game in your library and select "delete local content"
or go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Transformers Fall of Cybertron\ and delete the folder manually -
Out of curiosity what driver level are you using?

Perhaps he didn't driver sweep/Cclean before installation?
and for his specs he has the 620m down then 5870m crossfire on the same system?
perhaps conflicting drivers?
Before you do anything ensure its not the game files by clicking then pressing Properties then click the Local Files at the top and then finally Verify the integrity of game cache -
i was originally having problems with Skyrim with flickering black lines all down the screen and even driver cleaner wasn't enough. it was still re-installing the dell drivers so went into device manager and right clicked then clicked on uninstall driver then used driver cleaner to get back to windows generic driver. that took care of of the problems in skyrim. That was on 12.7 beta drivers before I had fall of cybertron and I had the same problems oin fall of cybertron with 12.7 as i do with 12.8.
Also I've verified integrity of game cache and re-installed game multiple times.
don't know what else to do.
Also found the information I wanted to know about in regards to steam and installing the game like its never been on the computer before if anybody's interested here what you need to know. delete local game cache from steam and locate app number..
In 64-bit os in the Registry of your computer under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Wow6432Node
Valve
Steam
Apps
...are bunch of separate entries that are numbered and each numbered entry corresponds to a game. Each entry tells steam what else has been ran (or needs to be ran) before that game can run. if you delete the numbered entry and re-run the game it will act as if the game has never been ran before and re-install directx and any other values that are connected with that game.
If you want to know the number assigned to each game. Type the url store.steampowered. c o m/app/___/]. Where ___ is the number in question and it will take you to the game associated with that entry.
of course still having problem with fall of cybertron not working properly. -
Yes 12.7 beta had massive problems with skyrim and the uninstall thing is what you're actually meant to do when updating drivers
-
ninja I should clarify. I was doing the unistall steps that way before but it was still installing the driver even using driver cleaner and even after logging into safe mode. After like the hundredth time an option came up to delete (wasn't there before) which checked deleted the driver completely from the computer and installed a generic driver.
Also went back to dell driver and finally got fall of cybertron to work for a short time until the game crashed then it started to do the same problems i had in the video. Tried upgrading the driver to 12.8 for now foc working.
