    ubunto 11.04 on M17xR3

    Hey guys

    I tried to install (with WuBi) ubunto 11 on my m17xr3 but when I get to booting up the install the screen goes crazy. Changes through many colors rapidly forever... until I force a shutdown. Anyone come across this problem? know a fix?

    The fix is to stay away from Ubunt u :p version 11.x

    Go back to 10.x and you should be ok

    (11.x has known issues with the latest i7's/chipset)

    I have been keeping an eye out on v11.x and it looks like a fix is a LONG way off (heck... may have to wait until v12.x)

    At least v10.x is good

    Yes 11.04 has issues. Jerky compiz effects in Gnome. Kubuntu is working fine except wifi drivers and fullscreen flash is unusable even if you boot into fluxbox.

    Wait till 11.10
