hi, it's possible upgrade an r1 to r2? i'm refering to if the mainboard of an r2 fits on a m17x r1 chassis, if it fits, in future probably do the upgrade to a i7, but i think it's not possible, any idea?

Well i don't think fitting it into the laptop would be your only concern... What about all the other components that get attached to the new mainboard and what about price? The mainboard is easily one of the most expensive components in a laptop and a replacement of it usually justifies a new buy...

I meant in the future if ebay had exploded on m17x, would be interested in purchasing a r2 with i7 motherboard if the price is not super expensive... but only in case if it's compatible on my r1 chasis
