    Hi guy

I bought my m17x r2 like on feb this year, my specs are

    i7 q740 @1.73 GHz
    6gb ram
    64bit win 7
    1 radeon 5870m
    1600x900 res

I am thinking whether I should get another 5870m for a crossfire, or just get another card. which is better budget wise?

And ive searched around for a bit, i dont see where i can find laptop gpus.

dell only offers crappy and old gpus for me to order.

You can check the NBR marketplace or check the 6970 guide thread here. Im on my phone or id type more. But a single 6970 would be almost as good as two 5870s. Plus leave room to upgrade to crossfire.

Oh you need 10 good posts to access the NBR marketplace i think.

    Hi!
Personally, i would not advice you to get an additional 5870, the reason for this is because the utilization in crossfire for this card is really jumpy, and you might end up not getting the effect of crossfire which you really deserve.

I would go with the 6970 as DR650SE said, or maybe even a 6990m if it is compatible in the R2.
