Since my fresh install a few moths back ive noticed my USB3.0 transfer rates are ridiculously slow. Right now its telling me an 8gb file will take 40mins to transfer over!!!

Any ideas why its gone so slow?

Take a look at device manager. If its not installed or not working it will show a yellow mark next of the device.

Also take a look at startup items, maybe you disabled it.

Here's a picture of my device manager with what I believe is the important part highlighted. I suspect yours should look this way.

Msconfig and then startup. Try reinstalling the drivers.

I think i'll try re installing the driver. Msconfig>startup seems ok. Only things like Adobe and itunes disbled.
