It does not tell what GPU the M15x is running. Without that, it is hard to tell..
Edit:
I just realised my eBay skills are bad. Didn't see the "read full description" button.
In this case - I would agree to Katalin.

Id does:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
And in this case the M17x R2 is the better deal, hands down. -
the better deals seems to be m17x, The RGB LCD would be my deciding factor, you could some if not most of the components on it, seems like a good deal at $760 now.

What is the highest i should bid before the price isn't a good deal on the m17x
-

Well, i don't see any mention of a warranty so i'd say stop at ~1100$

That's a pre Dell area-51 m17x-R1, people often confuse it with the M17x.
I don't know if you want that model. -
R2 is like 3x better than that m15x

what processor socket do i need to look for when getting a i7-920xm
-
katalin_2003 NBR Spectre Super Moderator
There's only one 920 xm (socket 989). The other 920 is a desktop CPU (LGA 1366).

I see that the auction has ended at $930 for the R2, did you win? Quite honestly, i have seen better deals on the market here
