    what is the diff between M17x R3 and M17 R4 ?

    Doing some research on what is the difference between R3 and R4. obviously, R4 will be better since its updated, but is there any major differences. If i buy R3 what will I be missing from R4?

    The main difference is that the r3 uses 2nd gen. i7s and the R4 uses 3rd gen. i7s. and their respective chipsets (r3-6x, r4-7x). all 4 usb ports are usb 3.0 on the R4 while on the R3 two left side are 3.0 and both right side usb ports are 2.0. The R4 has a msata option so you can have a total of 3 ssd, only two normal 2.5" on the R3. The housing is the same on both models. Hopoe this helps you.

    And they fixed the problem of the drive bays dropping down to stata II (the new chipset!)
