I spilt some water on my m17x r2 about 2 months ago. Anyway my insurance have replaced it with a m18x and now I am just trying to work out what to do with my old computer. Im pretty sure all the computer needs is a new mother board cause it did start and run but now it doesn't.

My question is how much could I get for a damaged m17x with dual 5870's 8 g
of ram and a 720 processor?

Im not really fussed really what its worth. Also if I did want to fix it my self would I have buy the parts direct from alienware?

    Thanks

Either buy replacement parts on ebay and sell it as a working unit or part it out on ebay. Don't forget to sell the screen, trim, keyboard, etc...

hey wisey im looking to buy an m17x and was wondering are you taking about dells accidental warranty or a third party insurer. if it is a third party insurer do you mind sharing the name of the company and how much you paid for the insurance.

If Dell replaces it you need to return it or you get charged for the replacement

There not replacing it has no warranty.

Yeah maybe. I have never ripped a m17x apart before either, i would probably botch the job up. Im just happy to get my new computer and would like to get rid of the old one as stress free as possible. I just seen a m17x screen on ebay for 700 dollars. That couldn't be right could it!?
