I want to get an ssd for my new r3 and I don't know which is best. I want a 256gb that is easy to install which one should I get? I don't know where to start.

Here's 89 pages worth of reading:

General consensus seems to be that the Intel 510 series drives are good to go and to stay away from anything OCZ. The Crucial C300 seems to be popular and is available in the 256GB you want. I ordered an Intel 510 series 120GB myself. I'll let someone with more insight weigh in on the drive info. SSD's are relatively new to me.

    Depends what you want.

For performance, Vertex 3. However, most people have vetoed OCZ, plus its kind of unreliable.

A good middle ground would be C400, since it is almost a match for the Intel510 in sequentials, and soundly beats it in random 4k write/read.

Intel 320 or 510 for reliability

The 256gb from alienware is a Samsung and has gotten excellent reviews.
