    who have r1 and r2 together and be able to help me, I would like to check in practice interchangeable motherboards. who can verify this from personal experience and describe here? will be very grateful

    I used to have both and i can help answering a few questions.
    Motherboards are interchangeable, yes.

    If you search a bit you'll find that this subject has been discussed in the past.

    The whole screen assembly is interchangeable too.
    Regarding the daughter board (Sound card & the two USB ports), the ribbon fits but not sure if it'll be recognized.

    I think the palmrest needs to be modified, IE drilling holes to make certain screws fit. I know only the 1200p works, not sure if the dual CCFL screens work.

    The palmrests are the same for both. What's different is the middle gray plate, it needs to be a little modified to fit the heatsink.
    And all screens are interchangeable, just remember to reset the CMOS after changing it.
