    recently bought an alienware m17x r3 with i7 2820/8gb of memory/1.5 nvidia 460m gpu .Will i be able to run battlefield 3 at med or high settings i know very high is out of the question. Thanks for any feedback

    A 460m is slightly less powerful than a 5850m. You should be able to max out the ress. I think you will need to mix between low, medium and high settings.

    This is all speculation no one knows at all what settings you will be able to run the game at. In September the Beta starts then everyone will have a better idea of what settings you can run.

    Yes, it is all speculation. I based my first post in this thread on the requirements of one of the killer games (Metro). This speculation can be way off though, no one knows.

    If you run Metro, Crysis etc you can roughly estimate how your system will handle upcoming games. This estimation can be way off if your unlucky.
