what wireless mouse do you all use? currently i have a razer mamba that im returning.....i just got it to use on my desktop, but since the desktop just died, and im getting me a M17x ill return it......i dont want the cord going from the m17 to the reciever......plus ill use the 129.99 towards the m17x LOL

so what mouse do you all use? im thinking of something lke one of the unifying logitech mice, with the tiny reciever...........

although a r.a.t. 9 would look soooo cool next to the m17x i think............

Just something i read around about the logitec unified system, aparantly if you leave it plug on a specific socket it might cause BSOD at startup.
Anyone with this issue care to specify?

I use a Logitech G700 with my M17x R2. It is an absolutely fantastic mouse, and seems to be a favorite around here.

@Panamaniac I also use a Logitech Anywhere MX with the Unifying dongle (on my M11x) and have never had any issues with it. I've had it for quite a while, and am pretty sure I've had it in each USB port at one point or another.

If you don't like large recievers or those with cords I would check into the razer orochi which I just purchased but have not used. Its bluetooth so there's no wore or reciever.

Yes it does. Also, I was looking into the orochi but the size is quite small when compared to other mice. I'll end up getting the mamba sometime, but the G9 is serving me nicely right now.

i have the mamba........its a great mouse!!! best mouse i have ever had.....BUT its got a hub that has to be wired into the computer by USB to work. so your limited by the non portability of the mamba....whereas a bluetooth mouse has no hub.......and the razer orochi is the little brother to the mamba and it takes regular batteries......so if your out with the laptop any battery will do. the mamba takes it own rechargeable square battery.......im totally not dissing the mamba. i think its the best wireless mouse for a desktop.but not so much for a laptop

Orochi is small but its not much smaller than my abysuss. Im contemplating the rat 9 but any mouse with a philips twin eye laser screams no to me.

Plagued with z axis tracking issues too which is a huge blow to anyone with low sensitivity who picks their mouse up alot. I think the orochi has the earlier version of it but im not sure.

Wow, just realized you made a bazillion threads and posts. You should've just made a single thread titled "looking to buy an R3--help plz", and asked a bunch of questions there. I don't think ppl would've minded that thread as opposed to your bazillion posts, FYI.

RE: wireless mouse though, you should just get the cheapest one that fits your hand, cuz the mousepad that comes with the R3 is stupendous! My boring basic logitech optical mouse just flys across it! :)

Yea well for gaming there are differences in the sensors for sure. Lasers are good for fast tracking aka high sens users and optical are bad for high sens and good for low sens. Some lasers are bad ( philips twin eye ) and the ones that started with an "A", drawing a blank, were amazing. Just depends on the person as well I guess, my buddy wouldnt know the difference in a ball mouse to a laser.
