if you have an R4 chance are that you are running on the IGP. Make sure you are running the game on the 7970m.

Make sure the Alienware is plugged in or you're running on the dedicated 7970m.

As the two above me have said make sure you are plugged in on power and not running WoW on the IGP, if you have an R4 like me you should have around 80-120 FPS with everything maxxed out

Not with the most recent updates....they rolled out some more graphical improvements for WoW with the latest patch and it takes it's tole especially on ultra. I was getting 60FPS locked with Vsync enabled but after the patch i am sitting around 30-45ish in SW. Depending on how many people are around you in Org could have an impact on it as well, as the more people there are around you the lower it will probably go. Regardless as to what most people say, WoW will run on a lot of low end systems but when you start maxing everything out it can be pretty demanding on your system.

No computer will max out packed orgrimmar especially on full populated server.

This all being said I just switched from the computer auto switching to the 7970 to selecting it with a restart and i instantly got 30 more FPS in SW and 60+ more FPS in outlands.......it would appear that the auto switching utility sucks as I had heard lol.....it always ran buttery smooth so I never really noticed but I am def getting large performance gains by restarting with just the 7970 on so maybe give that a try if your not already. I know Blizzard games don't seem to like the 7970 , my SC2 won't even recognize the card so it resets my graphic settings back to low all the time. D3 seems fine but apparently WoW is not utilizing it properly unless you select just the 7970 or at least it would appear that way on mine.

If you're running it on with the AMD graphics card and it still gives you low performance you can try to update your graphics driver. Follow the steps on the guide below to do it correctly.

Yeah I had similar issues when running hybrid. I switched to dedicated only and even after the 5.0.4 patch I'm still getting anything from 60-150+ FPS depending on area. This is on a 675M FYI.

Press FN + F7 then reboot.. you might have to install new display driver.

Well, it seems like you were running on your integrated GPU.
