    So today i decided to pop in a dvd to install skyrim instead of downloading it .. and it went in.. but nothing happened.. so i looked in my computer to see if my optical registered.. nope.. not there.. all thats there is my hard drive.. i have the blueray option of the optical drive.. anyone have an idea of whats going on? thanks

    yeah that and device manager. Also did you happen to install a optical drive emulator like daemon tool or alcohol or something similar?
