You can try that, but I am skeptical that it will. If it resolves it, please let us know.

Tried Bios A03 and the 296 drivers, it didn't fully fix the problem but DPC latency is lower than on A05 bios. Also encountering the clicking sound of the IDT power management(i have powercycle the check and uncheck in the advanced tab) on A03 bios. If i revert back to A05, the clicking sound is gone? What could be different from A05 and A03 that could hinder the DPC latency and the IDT power management clicking sound? Staying on A03 and the annoying clicking sound and hopefully Nvidia will fix it in their new driver with A05 Bios.

It's really not that big of a deal lol.

I usually get this kind of decent latency at all times. Running music produces even less latency.

That's not a big deal though your latency is 20x higher than mine and if I will ever get a 10-20x spike it's still gonna be green, while in your case 20x = 8-10k which may already be unacceptable for audio work. In fact, many audio pro's require latency to be in the 0-100 range at all times. But like you said, it's not that important for most users anyway. If you can stay green during gaming, audio and video playback - nothing to worry about really.

    Exactly.
Currently I have a M18x R2/680M SLI/XM in production...hopefully it will get around the same latency as my current unit.

Depending on how good 680M SLI performs.........
I currently have a buyer but may decide to keep my current unit and sell my R2. I probably should have just waited to order when a better screen option becomes available.

I just bought a YZF R6, so I need to stay under the radar when it comes to big purchases over the next few months.

Thanks bro! I only bought it for the look and the cool matching Yamaha jacket. Up here in Alaska we have horrible drivers. I'll make sure to pray each and every time I ride out.

Hello I just wanted to say that I am also recieving the black screen issue. I tried all the different fixes on the web on various threads. This one is the only one that I have had success with. I installed the latency tool with the latest available driver and it quickly came back and said I was experiencing latency issues. Black screens would happen about 15-20 times per 6 hours of use.

I downgraded to the driver listed at the beginning of this thread and the latency tool is still telling me that I still have latency after the downgrade. However it has been 48 hours and I have only experienced the black screen once. I will update this thread if the frequency of the black screens go back up higher, but this thread has made my computer usable again. Thank you all so very much!
