Probably has to be Grizzly Kryonaut or CLU. It will cut temps by about 20c over stock paste. One would think that would transfer over to the GPUs but CLU will only improve GPU temps by maybe 2c.

I have Kryonaut, it's non conductive

Conductonaut is the liquid metal one

Btw, how did you get your 4700MQ to 3.6ghz all cores?

I have a 4930 and run it at 4 ghz constantly. I only use the bios for its settings and the only software I use is HWinfo64 to control the fan speeds.
Yes my voltages are higher then if I tuned it with throttle stop ect but I'm not that good at messing with all the settings and was always having it crash.
By just using the bios settings for the overclock and setting up hwinfo64 to blast the fans I haven't had a crash in over a year and am able to game and run benchmarks with no issues at all. The cpu could def go further but I'm very happy with my results at 4 ghz. Hope that helps . If you want my bios settings let me know . It would only take you a few seconds to use my settings and give it a shot.

Are you using an i7-4700MQ? If so you could try OC'ing that first maybe.

I got 3.4 on all cores, but not able to go beyond.

I have also slightly undervolted the cpu by -50mv

Well that would make sense if you are planning on using the processor at stock speeds. But if you are planning on overclocking at all, then the 6700k will be a much better choice. Almost every 6700k can do 4.5Ghz using Kryonaut and some under volting. Plus you have the option of pushing it further after de lidding it and applying CLU to the die and/or the IHS.
Another concern a friend of mine with the AW18 had was, if there will be BIOS support to make the pascal based cards work. We know it wont be long before custom vBIOS' come out , but the system BIOS will be an important factor.

Sell AW18 and get P870DM instead?

I have a friend that's willing to buy it for 2k, but he's still saving up.

I doubt hes gonna part with it, worse case he will give it to his younger brother and make him work for it :p

But by the time Pascal for mobile hits, there will be a P870DM successor out. (rather hope so lol)

No no, I mean I will sell my A18 to my friend for 2K usd. Then use that money to buy a P870DM successor.

    Ahh! Makes sense. My bad.
That would be a great price for an 18" Laptop, specially considering you dont get those AW's anymore. Specially the ones that work properly. Best of luck to you!
