This may have been done before, but cant seem to locate at thread just for this.
This is more for curiosity than anything, well that and to get a base line. I would like to know what temps you folks get with you'r 880M GTX cards at idle. By idle I mean simply running desktop, and monitoring program. No temps while bench marking, or gameing. Stock fan settings, not running HWinfor 64 fan custom fan profile, just staring at the desk top, and monitoring program.Sounds alittle odd I know, but I would really like to get a base line here.
My system is running Dual Nvidia 880M GTX in SLI,
Currently running Windows 7 PRO desktop and using GPU-Z to measure both cards.
GPU 1 idles aound mid 56'c
GPU 2 idles around mid 47'c
Current temp in the room I am in is 65 F. or (if I remember the conversion correctly) about 18 C.
Oh, and I have also repasted my cards with Liquid Ultra, so not running stock thermal paste.
Since I still have my old system sitting on the table to be sent back to Dell/Alienware, I am thinking of swaping GPU card 1 and taking temps to compare to this card. I realize there should not be a difference, but this may be my only chance to test this and find out for sure.
I know the whole curiosity killing cat thing.![]()
Would really like to know what you folks thing of this, and if dont mind maybe posting temps. Thanks folks!

Using Aida64 to monitor temps:
GPU 1 54
GPU 2 49
That's just turning on pc and doing nothing -
I usually get 45 or so with my 780Ms on idle fans with 32 degrees room temp doing nothing but monitoring temps.
If late at night it'll sit at around 38 degrees on idle (27 degrees celcius or so)
880M Idle Temps...
