Just got some 100w AMD heatsinks, anyone know if these will work for the AW18 980m sli upgrade?

For now can you mount the gpu to heatsink without any paste or pad to see what adjustment you will need to make?

Looks like no adjustments. Everything looks covered.

I mean not put back in the laptop.

Take the heatsink and gpu card out, and do a test fitting outside of chassis.

That way you can see if the heatsink will fit the card, or what needs to be changed to make the heatsink fit the card.

Lmao yes I meant a visual inspection. Everything looked good. Just taking apart the laptop now. So is this right? I’ve uninstalled current video drivers, then remove and install new cards and install new drivers and good to go?

Right I’ve installed cards but they aren’t showing up in bios or in device manager. I know I need to flash them. I have premas vbios but somehow have changed the .rom files to open with winrar. Anyone know what option I need to change the open with option to? I try running the bat files but just get an error message. Hope someone more experienced on here can shed some light as I’ve never done anything like this.

Have you tried right clicking on the batch files and selecting 'run as administrator'?
