Good Evening All,
I have an issue that has never been brought up and upon doing alot of research left without a clear solution. Basically the usb 3.0 powershare port on my Alienware 18 is loose and if you bump the USB ever so slightly it will disconnect. I have looked inside the port and it is indeed damaged IE black insulation bent and pins not making full contact with male connector. I have no problem soldering a new USB port onto the motherboard the issue is finding the part!! Since it is powershare it uses 10 pins instead of the standard 9 pin on all other ports. I am thinking since its not common technology part hard to source. If I where to replace it with a 9 pin standard should it work no problems just without the powershare feature? If anyone knows where I can get this connector I would be extremely grateful. I will attach the schematic from the actual motherboard in addition to a picture of the back of the motherboard( compare the pins on the top usb vs the bottom one) you will see one is 9 pin while other is 10.

I don't know a lot about this, the skill level is a bit beyond me currently, but wouldn't all 10 pin ports be the same?
Maybe butchering an older laptop would help
