    Hi,

Been a happy AW 18 owner for ~ 8 months now.

Had a dimm slot go bad on me without warning / reason / notice.

No problem, I have next-day international support, I thought.

Contacted Dell in the UK, and when it transpired I was out the country (Vietnam), they couldn't help me further.

Had to start the whole thing over with Dell in Vietnam, who REFUSED to believe I was covered under warranty, no matter how much I pleaded my case. Turns out they have only had Next-day coverage for the past 3 months, so nobody here knew anything about it.

    A week has gone by....

And when they contacted me to explain the above, they didn't even bother to check if the part needed would be obtainable before I move onto another country on Sat, as I told them I would do. I specifically asked them to check the availability before proceeding with this at all. They just simply directed me to their 24/7 number to start the repair process all over again.

I couldn't imagine treating my customers like that.

Only last night when I called it in, I got 'our offices are now closed'.

Complained again over that, just got redirected to the phone system again.

    Told them I wouldn't bother.

So buy a HP, or something if you need to travel. AW Global Support does not do what it says on the tin. And that is as polite as I can state it.
