    I just got a M18X R2 delivered today, bought from eBay. I noticed in the bios it displayed bios number " X21 ".

    I have never seen it before. Anyone know what bios is this?

    Buy I'm planning to throw the pair of desktop GTX 980 in it.

    You mean like the ones the other guys found on taobao / aliexpress not too long ago?

    That would certainly be an exciting upgrade for the m18xR2 to be certain

    No idea, I would imagine a test BIOS or somebody had fun with a hex editor and tried to make a cooler version number.

    Would've been neat to back it up and dig through it, but dual 980 DT's sounds nice. The TDP is my main concern, given theyre 120W each.

    I had no patient lol. It only had maybe 4 tabs in bios and I there were options for gpu switching too. Oh well .

    So apparently this M18X R2 has two extra power button on the motherboard in addition to the power board, which makes 3 power button. Is this normal for a M18X R2 ?

    I should have backed up that X21 Bios.

    Now we would never know what that bios entitled the M18X R2 laptop to do. Just the fact that the bios was not unlocked and had the option to change graphic settings. What a regret. lol
