Hi, I have a problem on my AW 18 R2, I tried to mount a gtx 980 4 gb but the screen remains black and I have 8 beeps, if I remove the button battery and then I plug it in again I have 5 beeps, I turn off and 8 beeps come back, I have tried many times my bios and A12, what can I do? maybe and the 980 not compatible? it was mounted first on a msi
    Thank you

    Most likely incompatible card/VBIOS. I’ve never seen a 4GB 980M mxm variant

Is it a G-Sync card? Mentioning that as I don't think G-Sync cards are compatible?

Go into BIOS while on A11 unlocked BIOS look for the video mode and change from PEG to SG.

Then install into laptop and try.
