I really hope your orders go through guys. Always nice to see people in the NBR forums landing awesome deals!
-
Hey guys! I'll admit, I joined up because of this thread as well. Zero, could you please email me your rep's info as well? I had the same problem as Validus, the reps I called needed an order number, which I don't have.

Apparently, the Canadian config site has been taken down so they might not be taking phone orders anymore. But still, congrats to those who got their orders through with a $150 CF ! -
whoops, forgot where I was
should be -

if that one doesn't work try - [email protected]
Thanks again

This works?
-
They are aware of this already. I placed my order this morning but my sales rep email me back this afternoon to tell me that the site is still under testing so they can't take order. However it will be launched next Tuesday and he will try to give me correct quote next Monday if he have the official price before launch date. Good luck for those who get through on their order!

The amount of money my fellow canadians waste buying from Canada... sigh...
-
Why *sigh*? While the config page was up, it displayed a much lower price than that on the US website.
Most fellow Canadians buy from Source for under 600$ anyway, but you wouldn't expect similar price tag on the highest-end gaming rigs, would you?

I can't wait to buy m18x , I wonder what games I should play after I brought it , I'm only waiting BFBC3....and that's way tooooo long..
-
And the irony is, both sell obsolete consumer grade hardware for the same price it normally costs to get the latest gen (albeit lower end) business class systems.
-
Here is the new link....460m sli for only $50..6970 cf still the same for $150
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System -
Awesome! Thanks for the update!

trying to get a 2920xm now, lets see if i get any luck
-
am i blind, or do i see
Dual 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 6970M* - AMD CrossFireX™
for only 150+ extra?
I pretty much did the same configuration from this site compared to the US, and it ended up being like 300-400 less than the US price. ? -
This has got to be an error. This would be super sick if they do honor the price.
-
ok it would have delayed my order, ill just pick up a 2920xm ES
they are honoring the price -
can u order from canada if you live in the US? :O
-
I just don't understand how Dell can so regularly manage to publish, then remove these pages from different sites around the world... What makes it all the more daft is these prices have to be wrong. $150 for CF?? Don't think so.
-
i doubt it, dell wouldnt let me order from US while im in canada. i even tried to have it sent to a US address. they couldnt accept a canadian billing address.
-
thats racist.....im gunna talk to my rep about this blasphemy of this being that much cheaper in canadia!
-
USA has a huge factory outlet
Canada's outlet has like 4 M17x R2 that all have expired warranties lol.
I'm sure Dell doesn't care about international operations. -
nobody realizes that it actually add 200 if you select 6970 cf over single 460m?
-
which doesnt explain why 6970 Crossfire upgrade is 250 dollars cheaper in canada
-
330Watt ac adapter is $50 which is automatically added.
my point is Dell operates differently in each country. usa wont always get the best prices on everything. look at the 4 year CC warranty usa vs. canada. its 719$ CDN vs. $500 us. -
Not to forget that our dollar is very strong nowadays.

Unfortunately, I guess it means the price for 6970xf is not finalized yet...
Edit: Nevermind...$50 for 330w adapter woops -

i was told the customized nameplate is no longer an option. even if i order it from the US. they said if i customize it in the US site they will call me and tell me that they don't engrave them anymore.
-
It the firts time I order from dell, if they respect they delay I will receive it before the week end OMG
.
-
According to the launched prices, M18x in Canada is cheaper than the US with the same specs! Woot! Thats a first time
-
Yes but this depending on your config, all part are not cheaper, graphique card in canada, but memory in USD are alot more cheaper.
-
Yep
What the hell.
-
The warranty is also cheaper in the US but the system I configured is over $200.00 cheaper then the US which is really surprising.
-
Yea not ALL parts are cheaper. But overall the price is very competitive and comes out cheaper than the US M18x with some configs...
The most obvious difference (and perhaps unreasonable?) is $150 vs $400 for 6970xf. Any possbile explanations for this? -
ATI is in ontario located in Canada
-
The difference is $200 not $250....since Dell canada charge you $50 more for updating to 6970 cf because the AC adapter from 240w to 330W...$150+$50,US remains the same for $400....
-
I just ordered mine for $2530 with 3 yrs warranty plus taxes. Now Epp discount for Canada is 8% instead of 7%
