    Can I safely upgrade my M18x R1 to Windows 10 ?

    2 days to go before Windows 10 upgrade is not free anymore.

    I'm still on Windows 7 and don't know if it is safe to upgrade.

    I've seen threads about the upgrade killing the LCD display bu they were posted in December 2015.
    Has this problem been fixed ?

    I would like to know that too.

    No new reports about killing displays for a long time so it looks like they fixed it. Just DON'T use EVGA Precision X = Instant brick. You should also avoid MSI afterburner, just NV inspector and HwInfo

    Go for it, avoid the softare that is stated above. I downloaded windows 10 iso and used windows 7 key that came with my laptop.

    How is the gaming performance on 10 compared to 8.1 and 7? Also, if I dual boot this with 8.1 that means that win 10 will force geforce driver updates on me regardless of what version of the OS I'm using right? As much as I hate the privacy issues and general attitude of MS lately, I'm still thinking of dual booting this and seeing how it performs. I just don't want it to upgrade my NVIDIA drivers on me.

    Same Question here guys. I want to get the latest Version of windows iso soon. So Can I use it safely in my m18x r2 with gtx 780m? Also I would really grateful if you guys could link me a latest modded driver for Gtx 780m for Win 10 64 bit. I will really appreciate it.

    With sound? Becuse it has some sound problems on Win8 and I fixed them by installing driver through device manager.

    I use HDMI IN very often with PS3 and Xbox 360.

    If yes can you tell us which driver you are using?
