Never had this problem before but, whenever I plug in my external hdd using esata my computer locks up. This started happening after setting up raid 0 , a clean install of windows 8 and bios set to Raid.

I unplugged everything from the external hdd including the power adapter, reconnected everything and its working again. Not sure why... My external hd is a WD MyBook Home edition.
