Anyone know if there is a place to order specific parts? I have a very slight dent in the top aluminum lid of my AW18 and all though its nothing crazy, it is something I plan to replace in the future since I want to keep this laptop for the long run since it looks like AW will be making the swap to BGA everything soon.

It would be great if I could replace just the top case and not the entire panel, speaking that I actually lucked out on a very nice screen with little light bleed.

My best bet is just to call Dell. But I think it would be rather expensive.

My 18 has dents too :(

FYI, the bleeding is not caused by the panel itself, but actually is depending on the quality of your backlid. from my experience. and i have teared and refurbrished around 20+ of these laptops.

What exactly determines the quality of ones backlid? Uniformity of mold or something?

yes, some have bent structure resulting in the lcd twist, thus giving bleeding problems

sometimes the plastic bezel can cause similar issue too, but it look bit different, much more focused in one specific spot.
