It took forever for EA to bring this game to PC. It is one on my favorite games on Xbox Live/PSN. I purchased this game today from Origin. It is also available as a Steam download. The gameplay is sick and the graphics look amazing on the M18x's screen. With soooo much going on in the game at any one time it really makes you appreciate having so much real estate on a 18.4" screen.
The game also supports co-op and online co-op & in-game voice chat. If anyone gets it and wants to play online co-op, please get it on Origin. This game retails for 9.99USD and is 1.6GB's in size. The game also supports the 360 controller and some other PC controllers.

Nice....
Please get it on Origin. I just spent to 2 hours beating the Prolouge. I thought it was the full game. When I was done I was like ohh...that was sweet!!.....then it said Chapter 1...lol. So basically I only beat the Prolouge...lol. The scenery and game play is much better in the real game than the prolouge. I don't think I've ever played the game past the prolouge on the 360...lol. It feels good to have a high quality co-op online/offline "shmups".
What I love is that you can wirelessly sync 2 Xbox 360 controllers for local co-op play.
The reason I choose Origin was because their Customer Service is top notch. In the event if you happend to run into compatibilty problems/glitches it can be resolved over the phone or through Origin Chat. -
just picked it up, however i dont think it supports sli or crossfire, i dont even get the sli bar showing up during the game, anyone else notice this?
-
skygunner27 A Genuine Child of Zion
It does support Crossfire. Please tell me you bought it on Origin....if you did add me. My Origin ID is skygunner27. My daugter and I played for 3 1/2 hours and we got to chapter 3. You can unlock different skins and pets...it's pretty cool. -
I only buy games on steam so ill pick it up there but I boycott origin.
-
I'm with you.... Steam is better than XBL
-
skygunner27 A Genuine Child of Zion
Oh well at least you're getting it
Why are you boycotting Origin?
I agree Steam is better than XBL, but I bought Gatling Gears on Origin not XBL. I'm glad you are getting it too. I wonder if we can still play together....the Origin version connects to EA servers. -
Wait, you managed to sync your 360 controller wirelessly? Did you use the adapter thingy or directly onto the 18x?
-
I use the adapter that I got from amazon got 16 bucks. You can use the 360 official wired controllers directly and that will work without any addons BUT the charge and play kit for the wireless ones do not work that way.
I boycott for many personal reasons but the ones that are not personal are the copy protection they use on their service. Steam sometimes uses something similar but at least each game shows on the steam page what protection is used and I get to avoid using the ones that slow down your gaming experience.
Now the worse reason I do not like the service is because you don't own the games if you don't play them for a year and X months you lose it! So you pay a full price on a game that you stop owning if you don't constantly play it? That's complete and utter BS! -
This has already been addressed by EA. Only inactive accounts that do not have games attached will be deleted.
EA: Inactive Origin accounts won't be deleted - Shacknews.com - Video Game News, Trailers, Game Videos, and Files -

360 adapter.
Yeah that has been addressed. Also if you ever run out of serials, all you have to do is ask for more on Origin chat or EA customer service. On most new games you don't have to worry about that on Origin. -
sli wont enable at all in this game, is there a way to force it to work?
-
No that's for inactive accounts, what i'm talking about is that they WILL remove games that you have not played for a certain time period.
I don't know about you guys but I like to go back and play games that I have not touched in years.
So say you have A, B and C games and you have not played game B in X amount of time it gets removed and you only have A and C on file.
So basically you don't OWN the games your sorta buying them on extended loan. -

All I can say is Crossfire works. I don't have SLI. Are you having performance issues?
If you bought it through Origin, I would contact them. They may offer you a solution or refund.
hmmm....I'll call them and qet more clarification on the subject. I read through Origin's entire TOS and my recently purchased games agreement and didn't see that stated. What I can tell you based off experience is that if you have your licenses you can always contact EA for a solution. I have all my game licenses written down, because in the agreement it says to take note of your license.
Anyway...the topic is really about Gatling Gears. How do you like it so far? -
Looks pretty cool... I love the art style and environments. I'll definitely check it out when my m18x ships! I was planning to pre-order BF3 as soon as it got here anyway!
-
skygunner27 A Genuine Child of Zion
The art style and envirornments are nice. I also have BF3 reserved. I figured since BF3 requires Origin I might as well get started. I have added 6 of my retail games to Origin.
-
I love origin too. Best CS ever.
-
skygunner27 A Genuine Child of Zion
I love Origin too. When I got Crysis 2 and couldn't get Crossfire to work because of programming they hooked me up with Medal of Honor, DarkSpore(haven't installed) and a 50% coupon code that I have yet to use. I also enjoy Steam's deals. -
Yup, I bought crysis 2 and couldnt get it to play crossfire on my HD 5970 Dual GPU card on my desktop....... gave me a free digital dl . I picked Alice, the most expensive game, heheheee
I did end up getting it to work though, I WIPED my desktop completely, did a reinstall and the only thing on it right now is crysis 2 and alice, it runs like a charm so I KNOW there was something conflicting before. It was the dang ati32.dll file -

Add me on Origin. skygunner27 -
The game itself is definatly worth its price tag. I had allot of fun playing it but its a game you want to play with your buddy. Solo is nowhere near as fun as co-op.
-
dang, I tried to buy via paypal and the checkout is saying I did not select a payment method but yet the paypal was clearly selected the page before? Oh well. later got to get to work.
OOPs, never mind, found the problem....................... me!!! lol
Done, paid, and added you sky.
I'll DL tonight when I get home.
-
That's just not true, and if you can show me anywhere where it says that, I'll eat my hat.
-
No salt and no ketsup?

Nice.
Sweet, I saw the request and accepted. -
Nope, just a big ol' belly full of hat.

hockeymass, I sent you a F.Request

Hehe that reminded me of a southpark episode that Cartman ate his own boxer shorts then at a random time in the episode he barfed them out while he was talking.
Gatling Gears is out today, and runs sweet on the M18x.
