Hi all,
So a few minutes ago I was playing a game with headphones on when suddenly my neighbor started screaming my name outside my front door. I immediately jumped up and ran over to open the door (it ended up being a mouse in her kitchen...), and when I came back, realized I'd gotten up so quickly the headphone cable was caught against my hand and ripped out from the laptop's audio port. I now have a static-filled, very loose audio port on a two month old laptop-not a good night. I did some research, and it seems there's no easy way to fix this outside of breaking out a soldering tool and replacing the entire port assembly. If anyone can confirm this or even suggest an alternate method to remedying the issue I'd really appreacite it!

**Update**
As it turns out, the AW18 carries its audio ports on a daughter board which can be purchased separately-huge relief!
As future reference for anyone else who needs it, the part number is LS-933FPMr. Fox likes this. -
Awesome when it works out nice like that. M18xR1/R2 is directly on the motherboard. I hope you were able to kill the mouse. After all that happening, the little critter deserves it. Just make sure none of the animal rights wackos are watching. It would be a shame to have to go to jail for doing the right thing.

My wife is a mean jailgaurd. Deals with the worst humans in the country. Goes toe to toe with them daily. Yet shes screaming scared of a mouse. Go figure.
