    Help! Mic not working

    My microphone is not working. Is I tried different programs like mumble and team speak then i noticed is the mic thats not working. I went recording devices and it says is not plugged in?? any help?

    Not an easy thing to figure out, but start with device manager. See if something's wrong there.
    Also, sometimes there are shortcuts through Keyboard (Fn+Fx) that disables it.

    I figured out the problem. it looks like my integrated mic was disabled. FN+F9 solved the problem.

    Yes, that controls webcam and mic. They are one unit. The mic array is the only one that works. The one in your screen shot that shows as "Not plugged in" does not exist until you attach an external mic.
