I had 4.0 version. Here is printscreen attached.
I uninstalled it and installed your version. It gave nothing for the processor. However it gave another case. It shew graphics menu OCing options. Grayed out at first but I enabled GPU Ocing (pushed enable button) and then tried to change multi. Anytime I push apply button in resets back to disabled and grayed out look.

What were you talking about BIOS settings? I have AMI BIOS but I can unlock options there and flash it. Although I am not sure that all options will be unhied even if I set it to do so.

The graphics overclocking is for the Intel HD integrated graphics.

It sounds like what might be holding you back is your system BIOS settings. You will need to unlock, identify and master those. Intel XTU does not work on most laptops. It does not even work on all desktops, so it may not be fully compatible with yours.

    I know :) Here is what I get. http://youtu.be/eslizM-nlyA

Anyway I unlocked BIOS and flashed it. It worked and those multi aren't greyed out.
Now I am able to overclock yahoo. I am very far from any record by now. Need to wait for experimental cooling stuff before real overclocking games

Hey that's wonderful news, James. Did svl7 help you with that, or some other source? I am glad to hear you got it unlocked.

Thank you but hey, why don't you believe in me?! :) My source was me, had to do it myself. I unlocked all settings in 1 submenu and some of them dublicated and sorted in other menus.
It is the bios itself constructed in this way, I just needed to unlock and choose what settings to leave untouched from sorted out one. Without a battery in the laptop and with desire to unlock everything it was pretty scary to flash. Pulse about 140.

But now I can help any msi ge Win7 owner with RAM, iGPU and CPU overclocking. Perhaps even fsb but do not want to experiment with settings when all is already working. Let them test if they want :D. It is just settings after all. Besides my 120W powerbrick makes me choose between OCing CPU above 3.3GHzX4 cores and OCing GPU.

Now I know the difference between CPU where you are worried about not reaching 40-50MHz of last multiplier and Unlocked CPU. :) Welcome to the club you say.:hi2:

For some reason my HD 4000 isn't using turbo boost. Its staying a 650mhz. This is on a 3720QM ES on an unlocked bios on my W110er. Has anyone else had this issue? I've tried loads of different drivers.

Did you try to set to balanced or high performance power plan? It's default frequency is 1100 while can be Oced to 1350MHz without overvolting.

Yup i've seemingly tried everything. All my power modes are set to Max be it AC adaptor or on Battery. That's within Windows the Clevo Control Panel or the Intel driver.
    Any other ideas??

The W110er does have funny power management things going on, try asking prema if he is aware of this.

Thanks James, I've downloaded the unlocked version of the modified G75VW bios and flashed successfully. Now I have some new options but not sure which to touch anyone point me in the right direction? Also I noticed this CPU scored lower in the windows experience index than my 3610qm, why is that? Thanks

Under CPU configuration set multiplier limits to what you want. Lets say 1/2/3/4 cores will get 3.8/3.6/3.5/3.5 for the beginning. I don't know your AC and GPu but I believe next you can set 3.8 to all no matter what AC you have.

When I go into CPU configuration, I see the 4 core ratio limits, is that what I change? And when I try to enter a number it only allows the digits no decimal. Like I'll try put 3.8 but it 38. It allows 4 digits. Sorry I'm a slight noob in this area

This discussion is not related to the Alienware M18x... Is there not a more relevant thread available for overclocking configuration using the Asus BIOS?

Everything you need to know to get started on CPU overclocking can be found here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...locking-thread-learn-how-share-tips-here.html

If you get stuck after absorbing all of the information, feel free to post questions in that same thread.

BTW - congrats on selling the Asus.

I don't believe that works at all. It works really great going the opposite direction. Will a Gen3 IB CPU even boot if it is installed in a Gen2 SB mobo?
