The thing is i have a friend that wants to setup gtx 675m sli on the m18x r2 laptop but on ebay there is a guy that sells one sli cable for 125.00 appart from that the other option is the alienware 18 sli cable for 40.00 but i dont know if it will work with m18x laptops.

You can use the 18 SLI bridge on the M18xR2. It's made a little different, but still fits. It is a bit longer than necessary, but you can fold it to take up the slack. The opposite is not true. The M18xR2 SLI bridge is about a 1/4" too short to fit correctly.
If they still have them in stock, you can buy a brand new SLI bridge for the M18xR2 from Dell Spare Parts for under $5. I'd go that route.
You can almost count on getting absolutely raped on most Alienware parts on eBay. Most of the sellers are asking asinine prices and going to Dell Spare Parts, Parts-People.com or PCHub.com will save you anywhere from 25% to 90% compared to the eBay prices. Only buy the parts on eBay if you cannot find them anywhere else. -
