And yet, it was shown 4 years ago that a water cooling system could fit in a M18x without any ridiculous add-on. Supposedly, Dell bought the IP rights and shelved it unfortunately.

Suggested this to the Alienware Team, but chances are, I don't think they will add since Liquid Cooling parts may be more fragile.
Some of you remembered that Asetek created the prototype on their M18X R1.
Dear Asetek,
I am currently wondering if there is any possibility that Asetek is able to sell me the liquid cooling thermal system done in the Alienware M18X, or otherwise, for the latest Alienware 18?
Or is it still considered a prototype?
Thanks,
Jasper
Hello Jasper,
Thank you for your interest. Our laptop solution is only a prototype at this point. Unfortunately it is not available to purchase. I would suggest contacting Alienware to let them know this is something you would like to see in their future laptops. Thanks,

Jasper Lee Hi Alienware, are you also able to forward my suggestion to whoever it may concern?
The suggestion is for Liquid Cooling in the Alienware 18. Because Asetek developed a Liquid Cooling prototype in an M18X a couple of years ago. I called them and asked if they could manufacture but they told me to highlight it to Alienware.
I think this would be a great addition that can separate Alienware from the competition. Liquid cooling without external cooling such as ASUS's latest ROG laptop, wow...

generic feedback from Alienware aka STFU and take your ideas elsewhere. Thanks for the effort though.

I don't think there is any other laptop that is liquid cooled this way.
I have no idea what Alienware is doing too. I also don't think they even take people's ideas from their IdeaStorm either. -

Lol what a generic response. How about doing it by yourself? You will need to mod heatsinks a bit, do a few holes and get pipes through them. Finally you can connect one of the fans to the pump.

Yeah I see but DIY solution shouldn't be so complicated and complex like Esetek one. You can just do a basic one and it still should work better than air one.

Asetek is still around and Innovating

But if Alienware was innovative, they would have added the Asetek Liquid Cooling that was developed.
Yes, for some people, overclocking isn't much of a fan to them, but liquid cooling allows the components to run at lower temps and quieter. Although, it would be great if Alienware adds a max speed button. -
Remember Dell shall release new upgraded models of Alienware Echo in 2016. Perhaps also a new graphics amplifier. Liquid cooling is unlikely a good solution for Aw laptops with the laptop design Dell prefer now... Adds a max speed button? Dell had the opportunity to create an app for fan control in ACC long time ago, but has not shown any interest in this even though they have been overwhelmed by a lot of complaints about too high hardware temperatuerer in their gaming laptops since early 2013. Should be very surprised if Dellienware follow other OEM's in the art. Every brand have now their own fan controll app in their laptop software.

Plus, a lot of the OEMs are taking the crApple and Micro$lop approach to product development... They know what they want everyone to have and that's all anyone is going to get. They don't need to listen or care about what real enthusiasts want because the vast majority of their customers are sheeple that will blindly and obediently accept whatever manner of trash they offer without questioning anything. The rest of us are merely annoying to them and they do not appreciate being called out for selling garbage to the sheeple.

AIO with rad, DT graphics card (PCIe slot), DT CPU and internal PSU (not external adapter). Maybe 3" thick but IMO should be doable if using just one graphics card.
-
Then the same **** all over again after 2-4 years use of junk. Nice. All engineers in whatever brand have been able to create a slightly oversized cooling that worked much better if they had wanted.

Well if they won't do anything worth buying I will just buy a LVDS->HDMI converter, weld display and keyboard to the ITX mobo, put it in some big case with GTX 1080 Ti and done.
