Hi all. I have a M18X R1 that is without its video cards. Both of them have packed up for some time now. I have left the UK in the meanwhile and here in South Africa it will cost me a fortune to fix or replace the GPU's.

I am using it as my entertainment center with Kodi installed. My gripe that I have is that without the 6970s I cant get my HDMI to output sound. I have tried many a times to get it working through the Intel drivers but no luck.

Am I missing something or am I destined to run the sound out of the normal sound card out?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check in BIOS settings if internal Azalia codec is enabled?

Hi. I am not seeing that setting in my bios. Does it need to be unlocked to see it?
