I have the m18x r2 with 2 gtx 675m cards in sli , i get like 23 avg fps on unigine benchmark using one card , with sli enabled i got 3 fps , then i realized both cards have different ram chips and bioses (one is hynix and the other one is samsung) , but both are dell cards . Im using the 330w power adapter and i dont know what to do :( .... need some light here !! thanks in advance !!

UPDATE: just found out the power brick powers down when using the cards in 3d mode , thats why the cards throttle down , the sad thing is i purchased this power brick "new" on ebay and i already gave the seller a good feedback since it worked fine with one card... i mighr end up selling this thing im so tired ...

UPDATE 2: Now the 330w power brick wont stay on with one card enabled. is there any way to disable the second gpu without pulling it out from the laptop? , if not i am stuck with 2d mode until i get another 330w psu because im not going to open the laptop again . the 240w psu is not working neither because i have two graphics cards installed even disabling sli it throttles down to 2d mode.

I'm not sure why you had that problem. I had a pair of GTX 765m installed on the m18x R2 running flawless when it was released. maybe it's a driver issue ?

Sounds like you potentially have two problems (a) bad AC adapter, and perhaps (b) GPU throttling. Anything newer than 345.20 drivers causes severe throttling on both of my 780M SLI setups.

Get the AC adapter situation sorted and if you are still having throttling, you'll be in a better spot to troubleshoot. You cannot really do anything until you have a good AC adapter.

I thought nVidia was supposed to have better drivers/less issues than AMD? Seriously now....right as I get a 780M AW18 ordered?

880M cards are not affected with svl7/johnsss BIOS downloadable @ Tech|Inferno. Maybe a vBIOS can help as the cards are not really any different?

i contacted the psu seller and this is his response:

    Dear eloyroberto,

    We're sorry to hear that.

It sound like the 2nd video card isn't cool enough to run the program/game. Have you contacted the seller where you bought video card from?
We think you need to contact them for the issue. :)

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
    Regards,

    It seems bs to me

Yes, they don't have a clue what they're talking about. That's ridiculous. An overheating video card, if you had one, would not cause the AC adapter to turn off under load.

Doesn't seem like they are going to take care of you and send a good AC adapter to replace the defective one.

WOW! I can't believe the level of........ OP, Try disabling the card from the device manager. That could work. I'd suggest to simply remove it though.
