    Hi guys im having a lil bit of trouble upgrading my alienware i've bought an ssd 120g kingston one iwant to install my os it so what i did i took a factory image from the alienrespwan into a 32g flash drive then i removed my original hdd 1000gb wd black and installed the ssd only but the problem is this laptop came with 64g msata ssd set to raid 0 with my 1tb hdd so im stuck idont know what to do i tried to remove the msata and set the bios to ahci and install the factory reset from the flash drive but ididnt boot soo if any one have an idea or an advice please help and thank you

    The factory image will restore the system only to a drive the same size or bigger than the original and the sata settings need to stay the same as original (more than likely RAID).

    But the ssd will be not bootable then if its raid it will list that its not a raid hard

    Is the 32GB USB stick with the Alien re-spawn on it bootable? If it wasn't made bootable, you're never going to get anything to install from the USB stick.

    It is the same as installing Windows from a USB stick. There's a program that you have to run to make the computer see the USB stick as a bootable device.

    You do NOT want your drives set for RAID0 since none of them are the same size. Use the 120GB SSD as your primary OS partition, and the 1TB HDD as your storage drive.

    I didn't watch this video, but the title sounds exactly like what you're trying to do.
