    Hi Everyone,

    I want to play some games on my TV @ UHD / 4K resolution but the AW HDMI seems to be non supportive.
    Can get my TV (which has HDMI 2.0 - 40PUK4600/12) to work at 4K but only at 30Hz.
    Now i'm thinking about purchasing a little converter for the mini display port (which seems to be DP1.2) to HDMI 2.0.

    Sounds stupid, but these little adapters are quite expensive in NL, and are very hard to find...
    So the question is;

    - Possible to use 3rd party adapters between MDP1.2 to HDMI2.0?
    - Will it then work at 60Hz or just at 30Hz (cus 30 Hz sucks, HDMI in the laptop already does that).

    Played World of Warships on UHD, works perfectly but a bit of input lag...
    Think it will make me puke when trying to play some games that need my attention instead of blind clicking and shooting.

    PS: Some EU players for WOW that want to play with me? :)

    Found an adapter;

    Club3d - CAC-1070 & CAC-1170

    But is HDMI2.0 able to do full color (32bit) like my laptopscreen?
    Really don't understand it...

    That Club3D adapter is new and SHOULD work 4K @ 60hz 4;4:4 colors. It will work on AMD cards since they just released a driver update for it but I'm not sure about the M18xR2's GPUs.

    How did u connect? HDMI or (mini)DP?

    The original GTX680M won't be able to do that, but i've upgraded mine to GTX970M which should do it.
    Gonna order is as soon as its on stock in NL, and will let you know!
    Would be nice to do some 4K/UHD gaming =)

    It wouldn't matter if it was a 680m or 970m, both have Displayport 1.2 which supports HDMI 2.0's bandwidth. So theoretically that adapter should work on any GPU configuration on the M18xR2.

    970m has native HDMI 2.0 but the M18xR2 does not, that's why we need to use such an adapter.

    Is it available for purchase? Last I heard these Club3D adapters won't be available until late December. If you can preorder them now let me know from where.
