Im curious if anyone found a fix that would stop evga xoc, msi afterburner, or windows 10 from corrupting the edid of my monitor? Id love to get windows 10, im just used to it now, so I was curious if there was any workaround that was found for it.

I could be mistaken but I believe the problem was EVGA PX specific, which is karmic because EVGA basically stole, code for code, the work of MSI Afterburner's author.

Meaning, I don't believe Afterburner is bricking displays.

So glad I dropped PX when I learned they stole the work of MSI, basically rewarded for having a conscience.

Don't use MSI aferburner and EVGA Precision X. You can use RTSS.

    HDMI In works.

Damn, sorry to hear that, I thought the problem was confined to PX.

Why? So the NSA can keep tabs on you? So you can have advertisement on your desktop? So the NSA can literally eavesdrop via Cortana? So you can have forced display driver updates resulting in an infinite black-screen boot-loop?

The whole allure of Win 10 NSA Surveillance Edition, the "free" upgrade, was DX12. Here we are two years later, where is the vaunted performance evolution with this API? Gears of War? LMFAO. GTFO.

If youre on 10 because youre waiting for DX12, I have bad news for you, the gains are only going to go to those with more than 4 logical core CPU's and possibly different GPU's, if explicit multi-adapter even becomes a thing. And as for the supposed CPU improvement, games are already being coded around CPU's with more than 4 logical cores, so yeah, basically Win 10 is now officially the new Windows Vista.

I'm sorry to say it but no-one on here who is tech savvy or is at all concerned about privacy and democracy is running Windows 10 NSA Surveillance Edition.

Remember Kinnect? Yeah this is the same idea, a technocratic autocracy's wet-dream, lets have a glimpse of said technocratic elite and their machinations shall we?

For no performance improvement. Hell it's slower that Win 7! And you get to risk infinite black screen boot loops because of forced display driver updates AND you've lost all of your privacy?

    No.

We need to boycott this nonsense. Use Win 7.

You realize that dongle is windows 10 only as well right? The only drivers people have put out for it are for wiring it with a USB cable, which is not practacle at all.

Dude just use the older controller, problem solved, look at my previous post, is the slightly revised ergonomics of the XBONED controller ("Dude youre getting boned!" - Dude Youre Getting a Dell Guy) really worth the ads in explorer, the hit in performance, and the potential (i.e., it's already happened to many people) infinite black-screen boot-loop because of a forced display driver update?

    Wise up brother.

The 360 controller is a lot less comfortable, i heavily prefer the xbox one controller. Id preferably like to be able to use my xbox one controller on windows 7, but i honestly dont mind windows 10, regardless of the negatives. :)
