    Hi All,

As title really, finally got round to installing my DV TV card in my m18x, however this did not go well at all :(

During the install process (run installation package & insert card) windows failed to load the correct driver. The install package however reported drivers installed correctly. Reboot and checked device manager and HVR-1400 shown as installed with correct drivers. I moved on to installing WinTV but this failed claiming that no hardware found :( I tried to install for a few hours yesterday until i got frustrated and gave up

I don't I dont suppose anyone has any experience with this (or similar) ?

    Regards,

    Dave.

P.S Newest install package downloaded and using Win7 Ultimate 64bit sp1

Same here... AverMedia TV tuner that I originally purchased with an XPS M1730 worked fine with Vista on the XPS, but I never could get it to work properly under Windows 7. I haven't really missed it, but it was disappointing. I tried twice - once with the M17x R2 and once with the M18x and no luck. I has been sitting in a box for about 2 years now, LOL.

    :(

Not good by the sounds of it then, was hoping to get it working. Seems strange that ive only ever had a problem with my m18x. My previous laptop worked fine with the HVR1400 and that was running Win7 Ultimate 64 too :/

    Thanks any ways guys.

    Dave.
